mini-gumshoe winner!
Having opened our doors in March of 2010, this was the first year Tasty could participate in the Greenwood Gumshoe… a scavenger hunt of sorts. Small independent businesses, like ours make up the “mini-gumshoe”. Contestants have to find 3 words marked by a “DoTheGumshoe.org” sticker and write them down on an entry form, at the end of the 10 days, each store draws a winner. We gave our gumshoe winner, Lucy, the choice of 3 Wilky 8×10 art prints, or 2 Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble-heads). You can see for yourself which she preferred:
Straight from the Gumshoe’s website:
“In 2010, over 400 gumshoes, averaging two per entry form, helped raise over $3,700 for the Greenwood Senior Center. The GSC has received all proceeds from the Gumshoe since 2000. Though the Gumshoe is about FUNdraising (yes, FUN is a big part of it), it’s also about connecting people to the neighborhood (it’s amazing what you discover when you walk and pay attention) and building community (a whole lot of businesses and people make the event happen each year).”
